EVA-02 launches-reimagined-under Battle Stations Condition One.
Working alongside mechanical concept artist Josh Nizzi, the Concept By Josh Nizzi project draws out new dimensions of beloved characters. Now, from the Evangelion series, Evangelion Production Model-02 joins the lineup.
This statue follows the lineage of the previously released Unit-01 and the Fourth Angel, blending bold mechanical reinvention with deep respect for the original design. Nizzi envisioned EVA -02 in the midst of battle, standing by the sea, ready to face an Angel. Armed in both hands, it strikes a dramatic pose, culminating in a heroic diorama display.
The rebalanced proportions give the figure a more human feel, while detailed mechanical moldings and internal structures add a sense of purpose and precision. Design elements shared with Unit-01 further emphasize its place within the series. The body is finished in a crimson hue that fuses vivid anime tones with the subdued luster of heavy machinery. LED light-up features in its four eyes and chest further enhance the sense of presence, while the industrial shoreline-complete with a sunken tanker and rippling red sea-is rendered with striking realism.
