A global rebranding has shortened the title to Catan, and this newest edition is on sale now. Polygon's had some time to peruse the contents, and this edition both looks and plays great.One of the biggest updates this time around is a revised rulebook, featuring clarified rules designed to make sense of edge cases and also ease new players into the game. Additionally, various gameplay scenarios have been reworked. These new rules will serve as the competition ruleset going forward.The most noticeable change this time around is in the overall look of the game.
