Richard Ashcroft keert op 19 oktober terug met zijn vijfde solo studio-album ‘Natural Rebel’. ‘Natural Rebel’ representeert het nieuwste hoofdstuk van de succesvolle solocarriere van de voormalige frontman van The Verve. Het album volgt op ‘Alone With Everybody’ (UK #1, 2000), ‘Human Conditions’ (#3, 2002), ‘Keys to the World’ (#2, 2006) en ‘These People’ (#3, 2016) en bevat tien door Ashcroft zelf geschreven songs. ‘Natural Rebel’ is geproduceerd door de singer-songwriter zelf naast Jon Kelly (Paul McCartney, Kate Bush) en Emre Ramazanoglu (Bobby Gillespie, Jarvis Cocker). Het merendeel van de opnames vonden plaats in de State of the Ark Studios in Richmond met aanvullende sessies in The Bunker, Tileyard Studios en Hoxa HQ.
