excellent cliff coastline, rocky and sandy beaches; nature reserves and public gardens; absorbing historical features – prehistoric sites, castles and churches, as well as concrete reminders of the Nazi occupation; trips to the smaller islands of Alderney, Sark and Herm are especially recommended
