Pink Floyd - The Division Bell | CD

The Division Bell werd voor het eerst uitgebracht in 1994, en zag een thema van ‘communicatie’ wat door de muziek verwoven is. Het album, waar onder andere de herkenbare track High Hopes op staat won Pink Floyd hun enige Grammy Award ooit voor Marooned.

The Division Bell werd in 1993 opgenomen in de Astoria en Brittania Row Studio’s en werd hoofdzakelijk geschreven door Polly Samson en David Gilmour. Het was het tweede album dat verscheen zonder dat Roger Waters erop meespeelde. David Gilmour zei destijds over het album: “The three of us went into Britannia Row studios, and improvised for two weeks. Playing together and starting from scratch was interesting and exciting, it kick started the album and the process was very good, it was collaborative and felt more cohesive.”
